Back again...

Had a peculiar year during 2017 with all sorts of ups and downs. I sold three paintings out of four submitted at our Harbour festival which I was delighted with. Also had a solo exhibition at Skerries Mills in Sept/October. Enjoying trying out different mediums. At the moment with Christmas just around the corner I'm not doing too much but will be well into action again in the new year.

Wishing you all a very happy Christmas and great Yew year for 2018. :-)

I will add a few images to this post...

Hi everyone,
Back in the studio working away. Best place to be during this very cold windy weather outside! Have textures down for new works and trying out various new things.
Below are ones I was working on lately.

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year 2017 to you all! :-)

I am starting to work on new paintings but find that I am a bit sluggish.
January is always like that though with its dull, grey light and after Christmas there is always a bit of a low after the festivities. I find my art is influenced by my mood but it is a great expression of how I feel and a good outlet for creativity.
I didn't mention before but I am a collector of sea glass, pottery chards ('chaney') and driftwood, also some found objects on our local beaches and I intend to explore using these in some of my artwork at some point.
Yesterday I put down some textures with paste and I am waiting for it to dry fully before proceeding.
That's when the fun begins as I love the process of the making of a painting.
I hope you will stick with me following my posts for 2017 and feel free to comment at any time.
Once again, I hope you all have a happy, healthy and generally a very good year! xx
